The Insulin Agent Marketplace is an internal catalog of pre-built agents and skills that your team installs into its own workspace. It is not a cloud marketplace. Nothing is sold, no buyer is involved, and nothing leaves your organisation.
The word does a lot of work in two directions at once, and the two meanings sit unusually close together here — because Suger’s other product is precisely about selling software on AWS, Microsoft and Google Cloud marketplaces.
So the confusion is reasonable, and worth clearing up in one sentence before it costs somebody an hour: one distributes your software to customers, the other distributes AI agents to your colleagues.
What is the Insulin Agent Marketplace?
It is “a curated catalog of pre-built agents and skills for common workflows” that you browse, review, and install into your workspace.
That is the whole of it. It is a library, in the software sense — things somebody already built, ready to be used rather than rebuilt.

If your job involves both, the useful mental separation is that one is a sales channel and the other is a package manager.
What is in it
Two kinds of thing, and the difference is worth knowing before you install:
- An agent is conversational — it has a system prompt, a model, a welcome message, and conversation starters.
- A skill is “a markdown-based instruction package containing procedures or domain knowledge” that agents load during conversations.
You install an agent when you want something to talk to. You install a skill when you want an agent you already have to know how to do something. Agents and skills covers the distinction in depth.
Personal or organisation
There are two stores, and the choice is about who gets the copy:
Personal creates a private copy in your own workspace. Anyone can do this.
Organisation creates an org-shared copy visible to your whole organisation. Org admins only.
The sensible pattern is to try it personally first. Install into your own workspace, use it for a week, adjust the prompt, and only then have an admin install the version everybody sees. An org install that nobody wanted is a permanent item in a list your colleagues have to read past.
Installing is safe to do twice
Two properties make browsing low-risk:
Installing is idempotent. Re-installing the same item does not create a duplicate. You can click Install without first checking whether you already did.
Installed items are fully yours. After installation, “agents and skills from the marketplace behave identically to ones you create yourself.” You can edit the system prompt, change the configuration, enable or disable features, and assign the item to jobs and channels.
That second point is the one that changes how you should treat the catalog. An install is not a subscription to somebody else’s decisions — it is a starting point that saves you writing the first draft. Treat catalog items as templates and edit them freely.
When to install and when to build
Install when something close exists. Editing a working agent’s prompt is faster than writing one, and the catalog item usually encodes decisions you have not thought about yet.
Build when the work is specific to how your team operates. Anything shaped by your own systems, your own naming, or your own approval chain will not be in a general catalog, and bending a generic agent into that shape takes longer than starting clean.
